|WELCOME TO ROYALS RENDEZVOUS - THE 1871 CLUB|
The Royals Rendezvous – the 1871 Club was formed over the Christmas-New Year period of 2010-2011. Many of its initial members were regular contributors to the BBC 606 service – alas, no longer in operation – who wished for a more specialized Reading FC orientated forum, whilst maintaining the good spirited type of conversation and banter that the BBC tried to promote.
In its first two years of existence, the Royals Rendezvous is achieving outstanding success, with new members signing up continuously, and the member base itself extremely active. Over 500 members, over 70,000 posts is proof enough of the growing role of this specialist Reading FC fans forum web site. It is already recognized in other sporting circles as a major source of news and fan interaction (especially that related to Reading Football club of course), and has a strong and enthusiastic moderation team.
Royals Rendezvous has also developed fine relations with many other specialist football forums, especially with teams of our own league.

||I know this game is done and dusted but I'd just like to point out that Colin is clearly wrong about our players surrounding the referee after the Thompson tackle. The only player who goes anywhere near the ref is a Leeds player.|

I do not believe for one minute that any Leeds player went out there with the intention of causing serious injury to our players, nor do I believe that NW would have sent any of his players out with that message.
All I will say is that Leeds were rough, they made some awful, reckless, challenges and, as a consequence, one of our players is out for the rest of the season with a broken ankle. Had it been the other way round and we had made some of those tackles and seriously injured one of their players, what response do you think we would have got from the Leeds fans?
I am a great believer in what goes around comes around. Lets see how Leeds react when one of their players receives the same treatment.

A thousand miles away, but just round the corner in spirit
|I agree Suffolk, good final remarks, and now I think it's time to move on - albeit with a player less - and get that promotion sown up!|

this should be dead and buried now i know, but leeds had another player sent off today (third in a row if irc) and had three players booked.
What im not saying is warnock is sending his troops out to hurt people.
what i am definilty saying is he is guilty of not controlling/calming his players.
