| WELCOME TO ROYALS RENDEZVOUS - THE 1871 CLUB The Royals Rendezvous – the 1871 Club was formed over the Christmas-New Year period of 2010-2011. Many of its initial members were regular contributors to the BBC 606 service – alas, no longer in operation – who wished for a more specialized Reading FC orientated forum, whilst maintaining the good spirited type of conversation and banter that the BBC tried to promote. In its first two years of existence, the Royals Rendezvous is achieving outstanding success, with new members signing up continuously, and the member base itself extremely active. Over 500 members, over 70,000 posts is proof enough of the growing role of this specialist Reading FC fans forum web site. It is already recognized in other sporting circles as a major source of news and fan interaction (especially that related to Reading Football club of course), and has a strong and enthusiastic moderation team. Royals Rendezvous has also developed fine relations with many other specialist football forums, especially with teams of our own league. You’re currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are many features you cannot use. However, if you are a fan of another team you are currently allowed to post in “Rivals, but Friends” and the "Other Matches" sections, strictly abiding by the language decency standards that Royals Rendezvous maintains. No aggressive posts, wind-ups or swearing or the post will be edited/deleted. But please read on.... Royals Rendezvous Prediction Game Tuesday 20th March 2012 Peterborough v Reading Peterborough Sports Stadium Ltd,19:45 Table: http://royalsrendezvous.co.uk/topic/8957062/4 Points System 5 points - Correct Score - e.g. Reading win 1-0 you put 1-0 Reading 3 points - Correct Outcome, wrong score - e.g. Reading win 2-1 you put 1-0 Reading 1 point - Incorrect Score - e.g. Reading win 2-0 you put Reading to lose 2-0 0 points - No Prediction 2 point - If game is Postponed or Abandoned and you predicted a score. Bonus Points: 1 point - Correct HT Score - e.g. Half time score 0-0 you put HT score 0-0. 1 point per goal/scorer - Correct Scorer - e.g. you put Hunt 2, Long as goalscorers, and in the event Hunt scores 1 and Long scores 1 you get +2 [but only valid when you have the correct score!] Remember has to be in this format: Reading 5-2 Middlesbrough (HT 2-1) HR Kanu Harte 2 Long 2 If you put anything like this as you goalscorer bonus:- Etc.Kebe (if he plays and if not then Roberts) then you will score 0 bonus points for that goalscorer bonus! You can put in an opposition scorer BUT it won't count towards points in the game!!! Adjusting to the actual game to be played at Posh: Peterborough 2-6 Reading (HT: 1-3) 1x Hunt 2x Roberts 1x McAnuff 1x Pearce 1x Harte Still, I believe this adjusted score line is quite ambitious! Edited by Owlish52, 19 Mar 2012, 09:33 AM.

I feel we’re on such a bounce it’s hard to see the next defeat – but Peterborough score plenty too – so: Peterborough 2 Reading 5 (HT 1-2 in Reading's favour obviously) Scorers: Kebe 2 goals (if we're going up, it's in his interest to start breathing fear in premier defences in anticipation) Roberts (on such a sequence, that he'll only need to do a back-heel like Ronaldo) Mullins (yeah, he's had enough time to adjust to the squad, now let's see what the Pompey footballer of the year can really do!) Leigertwood (won't want Jem picking up too many plaudits - they're in this together!) |
