| WELCOME TO ROYALS RENDEZVOUS - THE 1871 CLUB The Royals Rendezvous – the 1871 Club was formed over the Christmas-New Year period of 2010-2011. Many of its initial members were regular contributors to the BBC 606 service – alas, no longer in operation – who wished for a more specialized Reading FC orientated forum, whilst maintaining the good spirited type of conversation and banter that the BBC tried to promote. In its first two years of existence, the Royals Rendezvous is achieving outstanding success, with new members signing up continuously, and the member base itself extremely active. Over 500 members, over 70,000 posts is proof enough of the growing role of this specialist Reading FC fans forum web site. It is already recognized in other sporting circles as a major source of news and fan interaction (especially that related to Reading Football club of course), and has a strong and enthusiastic moderation team. Royals Rendezvous has also developed fine relations with many other specialist football forums, especially with teams of our own league. You’re currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are many features you cannot use. However, if you are a fan of another team you are currently allowed to post in “Rivals, but Friends” and the "Other Matches" sections, strictly abiding by the language decency standards that Royals Rendezvous maintains. My last comment is talking about bringing in Zaha, Clyne, Butterfield etc.. Having youngsters is very good for a Premiership club that are quite adept at the game. If football manager is anything to go by you don't have to register U21 players in the 25 man squad - so you can utilise a bigger playing squad if you have U21 players. The thing I was wanting to point out is that I don't want us signing people like Wayne Bridge on £50,000 a week when our highest wage at the moment might be Kebe on £20,000 a week. |

Also, what I've got pretty good at on Football Manager recently is nicking players off top sides for peanuts then developing them in my team. For example, take Pablo Piatti. He's a 30 year old striker and I signed him on a free a few seasons ago. Here's the stats... 19 in 42 26 in 57 14 in 60 34 in 58 19 in 59 32 in 51 35 in 61 10 in 20 (as of 23rd november) |
