| WELCOME TO ROYALS RENDEZVOUS - THE 1871 CLUB The Royals Rendezvous – the 1871 Club was formed over the Christmas-New Year period of 2010-2011. Many of its initial members were regular contributors to the BBC 606 service – alas, no longer in operation – who wished for a more specialized Reading FC orientated forum, whilst maintaining the good spirited type of conversation and banter that the BBC tried to promote. In its first two years of existence, the Royals Rendezvous is achieving outstanding success, with new members signing up continuously, and the member base itself extremely active. Over 500 members, over 70,000 posts is proof enough of the growing role of this specialist Reading FC fans forum web site. It is already recognized in other sporting circles as a major source of news and fan interaction (especially that related to Reading Football club of course), and has a strong and enthusiastic moderation team. Royals Rendezvous has also developed fine relations with many other specialist football forums, especially with teams of our own league. You’re currently viewing our forum as a guest. This means you are limited to certain areas of the board and there are many features you cannot use. However, if you are a fan of another team you are currently allowed to post in “Rivals, but Friends” and the "Other Matches" sections, strictly abiding by the language decency standards that Royals Rendezvous maintains. No aggressive posts, wind-ups or swearing or the post will be edited/deleted. But please read on.... I know this is a carbon copy of a thread of HobNob, but its a good idea anyway so I'd like to hear opinions from RR people  Pretty self explanatory concept, I'll kick off with...A very good striker, top goalscorer Creative midfielder RB to replace Griffin Good LB to replace Harte Connolly Cywka on a longer term deal Your shopping lists? |

Looking at that list from Daib0, I would do the following with regards to contracts/lack thereof in the summer... - From those expiring in 2012, renew... Connolly (buy him), Cywka, Hector, Tabb - From those expiring in 2013, renew... Cummings, D'Ath, Karacan, Obita, Pearce - Replace Baseya/Bignall/Williams, Griffin, Harte, Gunnarsson, Howard with decent squad players

I'd definitely go for Bertie if we go up, he isn't getting a good run at Chelsea and we could use some pace to replace Harte. Of course, if that were the case, we would need a decent set piece taker. Charlie Adam? |
