Today, in 1926, Angus Wylie became Reading FC manager, and he was our manager for 4 years and 335 days, thus presiding over our ‘glory’ period in the second division and a F.A. Cup semi-final appearance in 1927 – he brought success that we weren’t to see again for well over half a century! It is such a shame that he seems a forgotten name in Reading FC’s history … |
